Work Place Pensions
Since 2012, it has become the legal duty of all employers to ensure that their employees are placed onto a workplace pension scheme. Staff that should be automatically enrolled must:
- be aged between 22 and State Pension age
- earn more than £10,000 a year
- work in the UK
Though named ‘Auto’ Enrolment, as an employer, you must take the steps required to set up the auto enrolment of your staff into a workplace pension scheme.
Important Information
The deadline by which you must be ready with a workplace pension scheme is known as your staging date, and is specific to each employer. You can find you staging date by using the following link:

Employers who fail to comply by their deadline will face heavy fines and penalties, so don’t risk it.
